Kwara: Agbamu community lauds Gov Abdulrazaq for upgrading Arigbamu stool to 3rd class

The Agbamu Community in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara state, have commended the State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman Abdulrazaq for the elevation of the traditional ruler of the town, Arigbamu of Agbamu, Oba Olushola Dare Fabiyi to a 3rd class status.

Secretary of the Arigbamu – In- Council, High Chief Bolare Adedoyin who is also Olotu of Agbamu and National President of Agbamu Community Development Association (ACDA),Engr. Jide Olabamiji made the commendation on behalf of the ancient town in a separate statements issued out to rejoice with the
community.

Adedoyin, who described the elevation as a testament of the Governor’s respect for the natural rulers in the State, said, the entire people of the town would remained grateful to the Governor’s historical decision.

“The entire Agbamu community both at home and in Diaspora expressed our
heartfelt appreciations to the Chairman of the Nigeria Governor’s Forum (NGF) and the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq  for elevating our royal father, the Arigbamu of Agbamu, Oba
Olushola Dare Fabiyi to a 3rd class status.

“This elevation is a testament of the Governor’s respect for the natural rulers in the State. This kind gesture, will also go a long way to strengthening the traditional institutions in the State. As the custodian of our rich cultural heritage and values, we appreciate the government’s commitments to the respect accorded our revered monarch.

“We commended the Chairman of Irepodun Traditional Council and Olupo of Ajase-Ipo, His Royal Majesty, Oba (Barr.) Ismail Abolaji Atoloye Alebiosu for his pivotal role in ensuring seamless elevation of Arigbamu of Agbamu, Oba Olushola Dare Fabiyi to a 3rd class status.”.

Adedoyin also lauded the efforts of the State Commissioner for Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs for facilitating the recognition given to our royal father saying that, “this elevation, to our community, is a
testament of Arigbamu’s vision, commitments and leadership qualities which he demonstrated towards the growth and development of our community in
particular and Igbomina Land in general”.

In his reaction to the elevation of Arigbamu Stool, National President of ACDA, Engr Jide Olabamiji noted that the upgraded of the Stool would ursher in new chapter of development in the town.

He said: “We also extend our deepest gratitude to the Chairman of the Nigeria Governor’s Forum(NGF) and the Executive Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq for acknowledging the leadership of Arigbamu of Agbamu and approving this significant elevation.

“ACDA is truly grateful to the Governor for this thoughtful approval, which reflects the Governor’s respect for our community’s values and leadership structure”.

Olabamiji also appreciated the role played by the Chairman of Irepodun Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty, Olupo of Ajase Ipo, Oba Ismail Abolaji Atoloye Alebiosu, the State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftancy Affairs for facilitating the recognition given to our royal father saying that, “It is a new day for Agbamu town”, he said.
