Management of the Kwara State Internal Revenue Service (KW-IRS) , yesterday, said it has promoted 332 members of staff for 2021 following their appraisal, and promotion exercise for the year.

The agency disclosed this through a statement signed by its Executive Chairman, Shade Omoniyi. It also noted that 235 members of staff were step upgraded in the course of the exercise.

Meanwhile, the agency also announced revenue generation of N18.036 billion for the first six months of 2022. This, it said, was an increase from the N16 billion generated for same period last year.

“The list of beneficiaries shows inclusion of 16 senior staff and 316 junior staff in the service.

“This is in recognition of the contributions of staff to the overall achievements of the service and particularly in the actualisation of the 95.61 per cent of our annual budget of 2021, a feat that is the highest target hit, since the agency was founded in 2016.”
