The event at Ecobank Pan African Center, Lagos, on December 5, 2024, showcased the foundation’s commitment to addressing key societal challenges such as ensuring gender equality in education, water relief initiatives for communities, providing affordable housing and elderly healthcare in grassroots communities.
The launch was graced by prominent dignitaries, including Oba Adekunle Sulaimon Banglade, the Olofin of Isheri, and Adimula of Awori Kingdoms, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, represented by Abdulazeez Olajide Adeniran, aka Jandor, and Barrister Yemi Candide-Johnson, among others.
In her welcome address, Khadijah Okunnu Lamidi, chairman/founder of KOL Foundation, recalled her passion for grassroots development.
“I realised that true change goes beyond government and requires active citizen participation,” she stated, emphasising the importance of collaborative efforts and philanthropy.
The founder also emphasised the need for collaboration among Non-Governmental Organisations to enhance the impact of change, and provide more assistance for people in lower communities.
The event ended with a call to action, encouraging attendees to support the Foundation’s mission by donating or volunteering using a powerful reminder.
