Human rights lawyer, Deji Adeyanju has expressed concern over fresh reports of abductions in Kogi West, saying the senatorial district is “under attack” and “bleeding”.

Adeyanju stated this in a Facebook post on Tuesday, hours after several people were reportedly abducted along the Omi-Odo Ara Road in Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The exact number of abductees remains unknown, just as residents said security agents have been contacted over the incident.

This followed Monday’s abduction of no fewer than four persons when terrorists a coordinated Sunday night attack on Odo-Ere community.

Reacting, Adeyanju called on President Bola Tinubu to intervene to check the renewed wave of abductions.

He said, “Terrorists have resumed abducting my people in Kogi West.

“Several children and old people abducted over 10days ago still in custody of these monsters.

“President @officialABAT where are you? Kogi West is under attack and bleeding.”
