Suspected kidnappers have killed a female banker simply identified as Ifeoma and dumped her body by the roadside at Ideani junction, along Nnobi/Alor road of Anambra State.
It was learnt that the banker was killed by her abductors despite her family paying ransom to secure her release.
Popular human rights activist, Harrison Gwamnishu broke the news in a Facebook post on Tuesday.
He said, “Ifeoma, a banker, was kidnapped in Anambra State. Ransom was demanded and the family paid but her abductors still killed her and dumped her body around along Ideani junction Nnobi/Alor road Anambra.
“Lives are being taken daily and it’s sad nothing is being done to end all this killings. WHO IS NEXT? If we keep folding our hands and doing nothing, it may get to you.”
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Tochukwu Ikenga confirmed the incident.
Ikenga said the police have launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
