YUNUSA Ahmed, popularly known as Khapy of Lagos, has announced plans to stage a major concert for the rapidly growing talent discovery platform, “I Sabi Sing,” which he co-owns with entertainment partner BKG React.

The show promoter and talent manager made the announcement on his Instagram page yesterday, drawing attention to the urgent need for greater investment in grassroots talent development across Nigeria.

Khapy, who also runs the fashion brand Khapy Reloaded, emphasized that talent is a divine gift that must be nurtured and supported rather than overlooked. According to him, Nigeria remains the highest exporter of Afrobeats in Africa, a position he believes can be strengthened by giving upcoming artists without record label backing the right platforms to shine.

“Talents are God’s gift to society. We should encourage and nurture them,” he wrote. “Nigeria is the highest exporter of Afrobeats in Africa, which means we can be MORE if we do more for emerging talent that doesn’t have a record label promoting them.”

The forthcoming “I Sabi Sing” concert, expected to attract young music lovers and industry observers, aims to boost visibility for unsigned artists who have gained attention through the platform’s weekly showcases on TikTok and Instagram. The initiative, which has recorded thousands of organic views across its episodes, continues to position itself as one of the most promising grassroots talent engines in the country.

Khapy also commended his management company, Ashipa Network, for consistently supporting the brand’s vision and ensuring that its mission to uplift emerging artists remains unchanged. He further called on Lagos entertainment stakeholders to support the initiative and embrace platforms that promote authentic Nigerian talent.

“I Sabi Sing,” he noted, represents the heart of Lagos’ creative spirit — giving voice to the unheard and helping emerging talents take their first major steps into the music industry.
