It was all Kenyan affairs as they dominated both the men and women Lotus Bank Abeokuta 10km race yesterday with Peter Nwaniki coasting home at 28.14 sec to beat compatriots Kipyeko Kenedy and Kibi Frederick to the grand prize.

In an exciting race organised by Nilayo Sports Management to coincide with the birthday anniversary  of His Royal Majesty, the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo 111, the Kenyans showed why they are the dominant in the long distance races.

In the women elite race, Shamila Kipsirir beat compatriot Viola Sepkosgei to the second place with a time of  33.22 seconds while Patience Daylop of Nigeria settled for the third place.
