Kennyblaq makes history again as  20,000 fans crown him ‘The Greatest Showman’ at musicomedy festival

History repeated itself this week as fans officially crowned Kennyblaq “The Greatest Showman” following a record-breaking sell-out of the Mobolaji Johnson Arena (formerly Onikan Stadium).

For the second consecutive year, the Reckless Musicomedy Festival drew over 20,000 ecstatic fans to the iconic venue, solidifying Kennyblaq’s status as a premier force in African live entertainment.

The back-to-back sell-out cements Kennyblaq’s reputation for unrivaled stagecraft. From the moment he appeared, the arena erupted as he delivered a masterclass performance—a seamless blend of high-octane comedy, live music, and vocal sound effects that proved why he remains a generational talent.

The festival was a massive show of solidarity from the Nigerian comedy industry. A heavyweight lineup including Destalker, Josh2Funny, Remote, Ajele, Larry J, SLK, Phronesis, MC Bob, and Shortcut kept the crowd in stitches throughout the night.

The energy was equally matched by a high-profile musical roster. The legendary DJ Jimmy Jatt headlined the decks with a blazing set, supported by the Maze x Mxtreme crew, DJ Smallz, and DJ Wayward. Live performances from Nasboi, Akpororo, Segun Johnson, Bidemi Olaoba, African China, and Terry G turned the stadium into a massive concert, while hype masters Toby Shang, Do2dtun, Emmyblaq, Voltage of Hype, Whiteman Poco, and Slimcase maintained a rave-like atmosphere until the early hours.

The world-class production was made possible through the support of lead sponsors FirstBank Nigeria, MiniMie, Nestlé Water, and Smirnoff Ice, with additional backing from the Lagos State Signage and Advertising Agency (LASAA).

The landmark event was produced by Unicmade Entertainment in conjunction with Mashbox, whose creative execution brought the large-scale spectacle to life. With two consecutive stadium sell-outs under his belt, Kennyblaq has done more than just raise the bar—he has rewritten the rulebook for live comedy festivals in Africa.
