ADC chieftain Kenneth Okonkwo stated on Wednesday that the National Assembly, led by Senate President Godswill Akpabio, is dead.
He was replying to Akpabio’s assertion that the ADC opposition coalition is dead.
Akpabio made the comment during plenary after some ADC lawmakers defected to other political parties.

Reacting to Akpabio’s remark, Okonkwo in an interview with Arise Television, maintained that ADC is a progressives party.
He said, “I will react to him simply, the only dead institution in Nigeria is the National Assembly that is supervised by the dead Senate President, Godswill Akpabio.
“You can imagine a man who is over citing the president who has three budget running at the same time and he does not have the light in him to talk about the sufferings of Nigerians, yet what he knows how to talk is to talk about the ADC.
“The only thing there is the National Assembly under Akpabio.”
