Construction tycoon, Dr. Kehinde Alex Bankole, has officially thrown his hat into the political ring, declaring his intention to contest for the House of Representatives seat representing Ekiti/Isin/Oke Ero/Irepodun Federal Constituency on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

The declaration took place on Saturday at the monthly APC ward meeting held in Ekan, drawing a large crowd of constituents, party faithful, youth groups, and traditional leaders. Many in attendance described the event as a pivotal moment for the constituency’s political landscape.

Dr. Bankole, the founder of KAB Constructions Ltd and Chairman of the Kehinde Alex Bankole Foundation, delivered an impassioned address outlining his vision for transformational representation rooted in practical solutions and people-first policies.

Highlighting his security expertise, the APC aspirant vowed to work with security agencies to curb insecurity in rural areas.

“As someone with a background in security, I will work with relevant agencies to improve safety in our towns and villages,” he stated.

He also underscored the need for improved infrastructure, pledging to facilitate development projects such as road construction, water supply systems, and social amenities to uplift the standard of living and stimulate local economies.

“Our people deserve better infrastructure, and I will ensure we attract the right projects to our constituency,” he added.

Beyond infrastructure, Dr. Bankole emphasized empowerment and inclusive development. He promised to create job opportunities and foster entrepreneurship by leveraging partnerships through his foundation, particularly for youths, women, and marginalized groups.

“We will create avenues for employment and entrepreneurship,” he said.

On agriculture, the grassroots-oriented politician assured farmers of support in the form of training, access to markets, and distribution of inputs aimed at boosting food production and ensuring food security.

Dr. Bankole, a philanthropist known for his advocacy in education, also revealed plans to push for legislative backing to enhance educational access and equity.

“I believe that every child must be educated, and I will pursue this through laws and programs,” he declared.

He further pledged to promote the recognition and involvement of traditional rulers in local governance, affirming his cultural roots and royal heritage.
