The Kebbi State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Alhaji Bala Dabo has charged Corps members in the state to be disciplined and conscious of their security in their respective places of primary assignment.
Dabo stated while declaring the Orientation Closed for the 2026 Batch “A” Stream 1 Corps Members at the NYSC Temporary Orientation Camp Basaura Jega Local Government Kebbi State.
While addressing the Corps members, Dabo appreciated God for the success of the Batch “A” Stream 1 Orientation course and commend the Corps Member’s patriotic zeal and high level of discipline as demonstrated in the Camp activities, urging them to sustain same spirit during their service year.
“I just want to remind our Corps Members to remember their oath of allegiance by accepting their posting to Place Primary Assignment, build on the skills acquired on Camp through SEAD and also undertake their personal and group Community Development Service.
“Let me also urge you all to be security conscious at your Places of Primary Assignment and I want to assure you all that NYSC management remains committed to your security”.
Dabo appreciated the efforts of the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris for his support, love and affection towards the Corp Members.
However, he reminded His Excellency on some challenges faced by the scheme in the State which included: Insufficient allowance for Corps Members, Lack of feeding augmentation during Orientation Course, dearth of utility vehicle, inadequate Camp facilities among others.
