Following the declaration and commencement of Ramadan fasting by the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, the Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris has approved the reduction of official working hours for the public servants in the state.
This was contained in a letter by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry for Establishment, Pension and Training, Hafsat Ibrahim Tune in Birnin Kebbi, yesterday.
According to her, “The Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris has approved the reduction of the official working hours by two hours during the current Ramadan fasting period.

“The new working hours are as follows; Monday to Thursday is 8am to 2pm while Friday remains from 8am to 12 noon.”
She noted that as a result of the new development, workers across the state were expected to be at their places of work up to 2pm from Monday to Thursday and 12 noon on Friday.
She, however, said the normal official working hours would resume at the end of Ramadan period.
