The Kebbi State Government has applauded President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, 78 traditional rulers and other eminent stakeholders for the successful hosting of Argungu fishing festival.
Deputy Governor, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida,who was the Chairman of main Organizing Committee for the 61st Argungu International fishing and Cultural festival,stated this at a press briefing to appraise the support received during the festival.
Tafida, insisted that the physical presence of President Tinubu added glamour and beautified the historical event.
According to him, ” let me use this opportunity to sincerely appreciates the physical presence of Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu at the grand finale of 61st Argungu International fishing festival . His presence added more glamour and make it beautiful event.

“Equally,we commend the support of His Excellency, Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris for his support through out the activities of the festival. His Excellency is always everywhere,attended to all activities to ensure that everything goes on according to the arrangements.
“Our Governor allowed the Main Organizing Committee and all the sub- committees to execute their tasks before them which make the festival a successful one. We are most grateful to all the Governors, Ministers,78 Emirs that physically attended the festival. They really make us proud before the international Communities”.
Tafida added that they were indebted to all their sponsorers, people of Kebbi state as well as fishermen and media organisations for critical roles played during the event which make it a successful outings.
