Wife of the Kebbi state Governor, Hajiya Zainab Nasare Nasir Idris, has said that the incumbent administration of her husband will continue to empower the people of the state to engage in profitable ventures irrespective of political affiliation.
She affirmed this in Birnin Kebbi this at the graduation of 40 trainees inducted into ‘An intensive Technology Skill Acquisition’, jointly organised by a non governmental organizations, K4G, Nasara Foundation and Zaki’s Gems General Service in other for them to be self reliance.
The Governor’s wife acknowledged that trade and commerce were the basic foundation for economic growth of any nation, saying that the Governor Idris led administration would sustain the promotion of trading activities and provision of necessary support to the people to boost commercial ventures in the state.
She described Nigeria as a highly blessed nation of immense human and natural resources with unprecedented greatness among African countries.
Hajiya Zainab commended organisers of the skill acquisition training programme for their supportive role towards uplifting the living standard of the people of the state but warned the graduates to make effective utilisation of the tools and materials provided to them as starter.
The governor’s wife cautioned the trainees against selling the items, emphasising that anyone who dared to sell the materials would be made to return them.
“We will put eyes on you, we shall maintain effective supervision on how you put the items into use”, she warns.
She expressed displeasure about the attitude of some trainees before them who sold the items provided to them including computers which would not be allowed to happen again.
Governor’s wife welcomed the announcement by the Chairman of K4G, Alh. Sanusi Zagga to extend their training scheme to cover all the 21 Local Government Areas of KebbI state.
In his remarks the Coordinator, Nasara Foundation, Alhaji Abdulrasheed Bala, said, the 40 graduands were trained on solar energy, iron fabrication cosmetology , shoes making and catering, as well as received items and materials relevant to peculiar skill they acquired including cash.
