Kebbi State Governor Dr Nasir Idris has presented the sum of N642,930,818,157.99 before the House of Assembly as the proposed 2026 Appropriation Bill.
While presenting the budget, Idris, who titled the Appropriation Bill “Budget of Transformations and People’s Empowerment”, noted that the state proposed N3 billion for the Security Trust Fund, N30 billion for the Koko–Mahuta–Dabai road as well as sustaining scholarships for students in the proposed budget.
He disclosed that the state’s proposed capital expenditure for the next year is N479,357,504,041.17 while recurrent expenditure is N163,573,314,116.82 respectively.

The Governor explained that capital expenditure got about 75 per cent of the budget while recurrent expenditure got 25 per cent.
“It is a budget of growth, empowerment, and progress. I hereby commit this budget to the House for quick passage.”
In his remark, the Speaker of the Kebbi House of Assembly, Muhammad Usman Zuru, assured the Governor that the House would ensure the passage of the budget within one week.
