Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, has approved the suspension of the Honourable Commissioner for Health, with immediate effect.
Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Alhaji Yahyah Sarki confirmed this in a statement made available to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi.
According to him, “the decision followed the Governor’s directive that the Commissioner should provide cogent reasons why disciplinary measures should not be taken against him over negligence of duty and disregard for his mandate as Commissioner.
“By this directive, the Honourable Commissioner is suspended from office until further notice.
The Governor reiterated his administration’s commitment to accountability, discipline, and effective service delivery in all sectors, stressing that public officers must justify the confidence reposed in them”.
