Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has flagged off the 6.5 kilometers roads at Malisa village in Gwandu Local Government of the state which cost N565,748,237 under the Rural Access and Agriculture Marketing Project (RAAMP).
He disclosed that the project will start from Malisa to Kurya and end at Maruda village within Gwandu Local Government Area.
“The flag ceremony for the construction of rural roads is a testament to our commitment to uplifting our rural communities and unlocking their potential.
“My admiration recognises the vital roles agriculture plays in our state economy and lives of our people. However,we also acknowledged the challenges our rural Communities faced in having access to markets, transportation and essential services by the extension social services. That is why in the first phase of our rural transformation, we have identified 300 kilometres of roads for upgrade and proper reconstruction and maintenance…

Idris urged the contractor handling the project to execute quality work, deliver it on time, stressing that the state government would be monitoring the project very closely.
