The 2023 Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) champions, Kebbi BSC remained Africa’s top-ranked team for the third year in a row as Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW) released the latest beach soccer world club ranking.
According to statement BSWW and made available to newsmen, the team is ranked 108th in the world and 1st in Africa.
The 2023 beach soccer champion, according to the previous beach soccer rankings,moved up 50 places on the latest global rankings.
Kebbi Fishers gained 340 points to move to the 58th position in the World.
The team’s Round of 16 placement at the 2023 World Winners Cup lifted the Birnin-Kebbi-based side to be part of the top 58 clubs in the world.
The team’s best global ranking remains their 49th position which was achieved after the 2019 World Winners Cup.
