Three-time Nigeria Beach Soccer League (NBSL) winners Kebbi BSC, and the second beach soccer team from Kebbi State, Kebbi United BSC, have presented their titles to Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Secretary General, Dr Mohammed Sanusi.
They made this presentation during the 12th edition of Dr Mohammed Sanusi football tournament in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi state capital.
The two teams seized the occasion to congratulate Dr Sanusi, who is a native of Kebbi State, on his re-appointment as NFF Secretary General.
Players and officials of the two teams attended the trophy presentation during the competition organized by the Kebbi State Football Association.
Kebbi BSC won the NBSL in 2021, 2023, and 2024 and has represented Nigeria and Africa at the World Winners Cup (World Cup for beach soccer clubs) twice in 2019 (Turkey) and 2023 (Alghero Italy where the team reached the Round of 16).
They remained Africa’s top-ranked beach soccer club according to Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW) rankings.
Kebbi United BSC is the second team from the state to take part in the NBSL, as they finished third at the end of the 2024 season.
The team also won the 2024 Kebbi Beach Soccer League (KBSL) title.
