Kebbi APC aspirants endorse Tinubu, Idris for 2027

Members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kebbi State who either contested elective positions or embraced the party’s consensus arrangement during the recently concluded primaries for the 2027 general elections have unanimously endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kebbi State Governor, Dr Nasir Idris, as the party’s candidates for the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement was announced at the maiden meeting of the Kebbi State APC Aspirants Forum, held at the Renewed Hope Office, GRA, Birnin Kebbi.

The meeting brought together APC aspirants for the Senate, House of Representatives and the Kebbi State House of Assembly to deliberate on governance, party administration and preparations for the 2027 general elections.

While presenting the communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, the Forum’s Chairman, Alhaji Abdulaziz Yusuf Bazata, said members unanimously resolved to support the candidatures of President Tinubu and Governor Nasir Idris.

According to him, “the Forum unanimously resolved to endorse and support the candidatures of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and His Excellency, Comrade Dr. Nasir Idris, Executive Governor of Kebbi State, in the 2027 general elections,” the communiqué stated.

The Forum also commended Governor Idris for what it described as his pragmatic, inclusive and people-oriented leadership, noting that his administration has recorded remarkable developmental strides across Kebbi State.

It reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the APC and pledged to mobilise support for the party towards securing victory in the 2027 general elections.

The Forum appealed to the party leadership to include its members in campaign councils at all levels while urging continued reconciliation among stakeholders to strengthen party unity ahead of the elections.

Speaking on behalf of members, Bazata expressed appreciation to Governor Idris for approving the refund of all nomination form fees paid by aspirants, describing the gesture as unprecedented and a clear demonstration of the governor’s commitment to fairness, justice and party cohesion.

“To further unite and strengthen the party, the Governor directed the refund of all monies paid for nomination forms. We have all received our refunds. This fatherly gesture reflects his genuine commitment to the progress and unity of our great party,” Bazata said.
