Katsina State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has showcased his administration’s achievements in governance while announcing an investment of over N4 billion in the upgrading of the Katsina Youth Craft Village as part of efforts to empower young people and promote economic development.

Radda presented his administration’s performance scorecard at the Tinubu–Dikko campaign flag-off in Funtua on Wednesday, as the All Progressives Congress (APC) intensified mobilisation ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The campaign flag-off attracted serving ministers, members of the National and State Assemblies, members of the Katsina State Executive Council, APC executives and other stakeholders.

The governor, who is also the APC leader in Katsina State and coordinator of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s presidential campaign in the state, said the scorecard highlighted achievements recorded under his administration’s Building Your Future Agenda.

According to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed, Radda said the presentation provided an opportunity for citizens to assess his administration’s performance, particularly in key sectors, while outlining ongoing projects and future development priorities.

“We are not coming with mere promises; we are coming with a record of achievements for the people to assess,” the governor said, reaffirming his commitment to delivering democratic dividends.

He expressed confidence that the enthusiasm displayed by APC members and supporters at the presidential campaign flag-off in Kaduna would be replicated in Katsina.

Radda commended ministers, lawmakers, party leaders and other stakeholders from the state for participating in the Kaduna event, urging them to sustain their commitment through unity, cooperation and effective grassroots mobilisation.

He said the campaign would cover the three senatorial zones of Funtua, Daura and Katsina, spanning all 34 local government areas and 361 wards in the state.

The governor called on elected officials, political appointees, party executives, local government leaders, youth and women’s groups, persons with disabilities and other stakeholders to work together to ensure a successful campaign.

He added that direct engagement with communities would be central to communicating the administration’s achievements and plans.

Meanwhile, the Radda administration said it had intensified its youth empowerment programme with an investment of over N4 billion in the Katsina Youth Craft Village, where 1,662 trainees recently graduated and received start-up packs to establish their own businesses.
