In a display of solidarity, the entire Katsina State lawmakers in the National Assembly have formally thrown their collective support behind Governor Umar Radda’s bid for a second term.

The endorsement, orchestrated under the banner of the All Progressives Congress (APC), well ahead of the 2027 general elections is seen as a major boost to the governor’s chances of securing re-election.

Addressing a press conference in Abuja, Honourable Sada Soli, representing Jibia and Kaita Federal Constituency, spoke on behalf of his colleagues in the House of Representatives.

He emphasized that the decision to support Governor Radda was a collective one, stemming from their assessment of his performance and the widespread support expressed by their constituents across Katsina.

“The decision to back Governor Radda was a collective one,” said Soli, speaking on behalf of the delegation. “It is based on our assessment of his achievements and the overwhelming backing we have received from our constituents throughout Katsina.”

The legislators praised the governor’s leadership style, with one describing it as “purposeful and inclusive.” They highlighted significant strides in tackling insecurity, education reform, agricultural development, enterprise promotion, and community engagement. “These initiatives have put Katsina on a clear trajectory toward sustainable development and prosperity,” said a representative.

Senator Abdulaziz Yar’adua of Katsina Central Senatorial District formally seconded the endorsement on behalf of all three senators from the state. “We are fully aligned with our colleagues in the House of Representatives,” Yar’adua affirmed. “We jointly declare Governor Radda as the APC’s sole governorship candidate for the 2027 general elections.”

The lawmakers pledged their unwavering loyalty to Governor Radda’s re-election campaign and called on all residents to rally behind the movement for continuity and progress. “We urge every well-meaning citizen of Katsina State to support this cause,” Yar’adua added.
