Anant’s father, Mukesh, is the chairman of Reliance Industries, a family-founded conglomerate that has evolved to become India’s largest firm by market capitalization.

According to Forbes, the patriarch is Asia’s richest and the world’s 11th richest person, with a fortune worth more than $113 billion, and he is not afraid to make a statement about family weddings.

He conducted the most extravagant wedding in India to date for his daughter in 2018, reportedly costing $100 million and including US artist Beyonce.

Ambani is also a close ally of India’s right-wing Hindu nationalist leader, Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
