Kano police nab notorious armed robber Abba Fiya

Operatives of the Kano State Police Command have arrested a notorious armed robbery suspect in the state.

Identified as Abba Aliyu but popularly known as ‘Abba Fiya’, the 26-year-old suspect has since confessed to conducting several armed robberies and rivalry Daba fights in Gobirawa Gangare, Dala, and Tudun Fulani Mayanka Quarters in Kano State.

A statement signed by the Kano State Police Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, on Tuesday said he further confessed to a series of armed robberies resulting in deaths, causing injuries, and robbing properties in Kano, Rivers, and Lagos States.

According to the police, an investigation is in progress, adding that the case will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.

“The Commissioner of Police appreciated the police officers for the notable arrest made and calls on the public to continue to cooperate with the police and report any suspicious movement or suspicious activity to the nearest police station.”
