Kano Pillars FC is set to partner with the Sports University of Nigeria in the area of football education, grassroots talent identification and technical development.
This was contained in a press release signed by Ismaeel Abba Tangalashi, Director, Media and Communications, Kano Pillars Football Club.
The collaboration, the statement held, was agreed upon at a meeting held between the Chairman of Kano Pillars FC, Ahmad Musbahu Garo and the founder of the Sports University of Nigeria, Ned Nwoko.
During the meeting, both parties agreed in principle to work together on programmes that will enhance the club’s technical capacity and contribute to the long-term development of football in Kano State.
The partnership will focus on specialised education and professional training forcoaches and players of the Club
The partnership is also expected to expose the coaches to modern coaching techniques, sports science, performance analysis, player development methodologies, sports management and other global best practices.
In addition, the partnership will focus on identifying and nurturing football talents across Kano State through structured scouting programmes, grassroots football initiatives and talent development projects.
The statement explained that the objective of this initiative is to create sustainable pathways for gifted young footballers to progress into the Kano Pillars system and fulfil their potential.
Speaking during the meeting, both sides expressed their commitment to establishing a mutually beneficial partnership that will promote education, innovation and grassroots football development while strengthening the future of football in the state.
