A new officer, Corps Commander Idris Mohammed Lawal, has assumed office as the Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Kano State.
His deployment followed the retirement of the former Sector Commander in the state, Corps Commander MB Bature.
A statement by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, CRC Abdullahi Lamaran held that until his latest posting, he was the Zonal Head of Operations, RS1HQ Kaduna (Zone One Headquarters).

“His wealth of experience and proven leadership qualities are expected to further strengthen the Corps’ drive toward achieving safer road environments in Kano State,” said the statement.
“Upon assumption of duty, the new Sector Commander appreciated the Corps Marshal and Management for the confidence reposed in him and pledged his total commitment to upholding the Corps’ vision of eradicating road traffic crashes and creating safer motoring conditions,” the statement added.
He further emphasised the need for collective responsibility, discipline, and synergy among officers and marshals, as well as collaboration with stakeholders to ensure sustainable success.
