The highly revered Galadima of Kano died at the age of 91 on Tuesday night in the ancient city.
Abbas Sanusi, who is the father of the current Kano All Progressives Congress State Chairman, Abdullahi Abbas Sanusi had previously served in the Emirate Council during the reign of the Late Ado Bayero as Wamban Kano and Senior Councilor.
His son, Abdullahi Abbas confirmed the death of his father in a telephone interview with the media.
The deceased is survived by his wives and 35 children, and the funeral rite is scheduled to take place on Wednesday at the Emir’s palace in Kano.
