Kano: Group kicks against Ganduje’s probe
From Ndubuisi Orji, Abuja
A Pro- Democracy group, Kano Patriots has kicked against plan by the Kano State government to probe the immediate past administration in the state led by All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje.
The group, in a statement by its President , Aliyu Mohammed, said the government should not waste time and resources in embarking on the probe of the immediate past administration.
It stated that rather the Kano governor, Abba Yusuf should concentrate his efforts on how to improve the lives of the people of the state.
According to the group, it is curious that the state government is talking about probing the administration of Ganduje, while ignoring the tenure of his predecessor, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
It noted that with the 2023 elections over, it is time for stakeholders in the state to close ranks.
Consequently, the group charged the Kano governor to take steps to reconcile Ganduje and former governor of the state Rabiu Kwankwaso, as well as unite “all stakeholders in Kano, for the sake of peace, love, unity and growth of the state.”
