Kano State House of Assembly has screened the nominees for the appointment as Interim Management Committees (IMC) of 44 local government areas of the state.
The Chairman House Standing Committee on Local Governments and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hamza Zubairu Massu explained that the nominees were scrutinized and were found to have met all the criteria for appointment as Interim Management Committee members of the local government areas in the.state.
The house, following the report of the committee, unanimously adopted all their recommendations.
The Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Jibril Isma’il Falgore lauded the committee for an outstanding work and for the efforts invested by all the sub-committees that made the final screening possible.
He pointed out that their resolution on the subject would be forwarded to the Governor of Kano State for assent and subsequent swearing-in of the interim management committees of the 44 local government areas.
