A new All Progressives Congress (APC) political group, APC United Residents Alliance Kano, has vowed to swing the votes of the non-indigenous community residents in Kano State in favour of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf in 2027.

Daily Sun reports that people of Igbo extraction represent over 60 per cent of non-indigenes in the state and, in the 2023 general elections, snubbed Tinubu for Peter Obi of the Labour Party.

However, speaking at a town hall meeting marking the unveiling of AURA in the state, the State Coordinator, Seyi Olorunsola, insisted that his group would deliver decisive votes for the duo of Tinubu and Governor Abba.

He explained that they aim to work tirelessly to achieve their set goals in the Sabo-Garri axis, No Man’s Land axis and Jaba axis, areas which he stated have a dense population of non-indigenes in the state.

The Coordinator claimed that the duo of President Tinubu and Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf has discharged their mandates to the non-indigenes of Kano State, citing a number of current projects as evidence of his claim.

Kano State Coordinator, City Boys Movement, Adamu Muktar Unguwar Gini, indicated that his members were at the occasion in solidarity with AURA-Kano’s mobilisation bid, while the Women Leader of CBM, Ramlat Muhamad, urged women in the area to join the Tinubu train as they would not be left behind in the Renewed Hope Agenda.
