Kalu receives PDP, APGA, other decampees

The deputy speaker of the House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, has received decampees from the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP), Labour Party (LP) in Bende Federal Constituency into the All Progressives Congress ( APC).
Kalu, in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary,Levinus Nwabughiogu, said the decampees, which also included members of the Young People’s Party (YPP) and All Progressives Grand Alliance ( APGA), were received into the ruling party during his tour of wards in the federal constituency.
The Deputy Speaker, while speaking at Umuhu Ezechi ward, said he was in to show gratitude to the people for voting him in the 2023 general election. He urged the people to continue to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu signed the South East Development Commission (SEDC) bill into law recently.
Kalu added that the commission will create employment for the people and also meet the infrastructural needs of the people. The Deputy Speaker who was welcomed by the people with traditional dances later distributed bags of rice, fertilizers and cash donations to the youth, women and men’s groups in the area.
The deputy speaker, according to the statement, was also Ozuitem ward, where he also received decampees
from LP, PDP, APGA and YPP into the APC.
Kalu, who also distributed bags of rice and fertilizers and cash gifts to the people to support them in agriculture, implored them to continue supporting President Tinubu and the APC. And assured them of more dividends of democracy.
