…Lauds Ambassador Vyprachticky’s diplomatic efforts, highlights trade, education, technology and industrial development
Former Abia State Governor and Senator representing Abia North, Orji Uzor Kalu, has congratulated the Government and people of the Czech Republic on the occasion of the country’s National Day, calling for stronger bilateral relations between Nigeria and the European nation.
Kalu, who was represented by his Special Adviser at the Senate, Dr. Rosemond Uche, delivered the goodwill message at a dinner reception hosted by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Abuja on Friday at the Congress Hall of Transcorp Hilton Hotel.
The event was attended by the Czech Republic’s Ambassador to Nigeria, His Excellency, Tomas Vyprachticky, alongside other diplomatic representatives, including the ambassadors of Pakistan and Belgium.
In his goodwill message, Kalu extended warm felicitations to Ambassador Vyprachticky and, through him, to the Czech Government and people, describing the occasion as an opportunity to celebrate the country’s rich heritage, democratic values, national achievements and aspirations.
He noted that the celebration also offered an opportunity to reaffirm the importance of diplomacy, international cooperation, mutual respect and shared prosperity in building a more peaceful and progressive world.
The former Senate Chief Whip stressed the need to strengthen the cordial diplomatic relations between Nigeria and the Czech Republic, expressing confidence that sustained engagement would open new opportunities for both countries.
According to him, Nigeria and the Czech Republic can deepen their partnership in trade and investment, education, science and technology, industrial development, and cultural exchange.
Kalu particularly commended Ambassador Vyprachticky for his efforts to strengthen diplomatic engagement and promote greater understanding between the two countries.
He expressed optimism that continued cooperation would translate the longstanding friendship between Nigeria and the Czech Republic into meaningful opportunities and tangible benefits for their citizens.
“As the Czech Republic marks this memorable national occasion, I wish its Government and people continued peace, political stability, economic prosperity, and greater accomplishments in the years ahead,” Kalu said.
He concluded by extending his congratulations and best wishes to the Czech Republic on its National Day, expressing hope for continued progress and stronger relations between both nations.
“Happy National Day to the Czech Republic!” he declared.
