Kaduna South Local Government Area has launched a digital transformation initiative.
It also unveiled its official logo and web portal, presented its administration’s scorecard, and inaugurated the RaySCALE Fellows as part of efforts to deepen transparency, accountability and technology-driven governance.
Speaking at the event held at the Banquet Hall of General Hassan Katsina House, Kawo, Kaduna, the Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Dr. Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe, said the initiative aligned with Governor Uba Sani’s vision of inclusive governance and people-centred development.
Balarabe described the programme as more than a ceremonial event, saying it marked a new relationship between government and citizens.
“We are here to redefine the relationship between government and the people. Government must be seen.
“Government must be heard. Government must listen. Government must answer. And above all, government must serve,” she said.

She said digital transformation should not be measured by technology alone but by its ability to improve the lives of ordinary citizens.
“The real question is: Does it make the life of the ordinary citizen better? Technology that does not improve lives is merely machinery. Innovation that does not include the vulnerable is incomplete,” she stated.
The Deputy Governor commended Kaduna South Local Government for embracing digital governance, noting that the initiative reflected Governor Uba Sani’s commitment to ensuring that “no one must be invisible to government, no community must be forgotten by development, and no citizen must be left behind.”
She urged the council to ensure that the newly launched web portal remains functional and responsive.
Earlier, the Chairman of Kaduna South Local Government, Hon. Rayyan Hussein, said his administration had recorded measurable progress in health, education, security and economic development after conducting a baseline assessment of the council.
He said the local government aligned its programmes with Governor Uba Sani’s SUSTAIN Agenda to deliver tangible benefits across the 13 wards.
