Bandits terrorising Kaduna State stormed Idon town in the Kajuru Local Government Area in the early hours of Monday, 22 July 2024, kidnapping an unspecified number of people.
Idon, like several communities in the local council, has endured multiple bandit invasions in recent years, despite the invaders’ hideouts being repeatedly exposed.

Neither the Kaduna State Police Command nor the State’s Ministry for Internal Security and Home Affairs has released an official statement on the incident.
However, a credible source in the area revealed that five people have been reported missing since the gunmen left the town.
