The Kaduna State Universal Basic Education Board (KADSUBEB) has successfully presented and defended its proposed 2026 budget before the House Committee on Education at the Kaduna State House of Assembly.
The delegation, led by the Board Secretary, Hassan Othman, who represented the acting Executive Chairman, Mubarak Mohammed, defended the proposed budget of over N27.9 billion for the 2026 fiscal year.

The budget places strong emphasis on reducing the number of out of school children, teachers’ capacity building and infrastructural development, in line with Governor Uba Sani’s commitment to enhancing the quality of basic education.
The House Committee on Education reaffirmed its readiness to work closely with KADSUBEB in tackling the challenges facing basic education, noting that strengthening the sector is essential for nurturing the leaders of tomorrow.
