The Commissioner for Information in Sokoto State, Barrister Bello, Muhammad Goronyo, has defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Goronyo until his defection was the State Commissioner in charge of Information and Chairman, Publicity Committee, PDP campaign for the forthcoming general elections.
He announced his defection on Tuesday at the flag off campaign rally of the APC held in Wamakko, the hometown of Senator Aliyu, Magatakarda Wamakko, the leader of the party in the state.
Goronyo’s defection was cheered by thousands of party supporters who thronged the campaign rally. He did not state his reasons for abandoning Tambuwal’s government to join the opposition.
