An E170 aircraft with registration number 5NENR belonging to Enugu Air, on Thursday, July 23, 2026, skid off the runway at the Benin Airport. It landed at 13:57UTC with 67 passengers and five crew members on board. No casualties were recorded.
In a statement, the airline said: “We wish to inform the public that one of our aircraft operating into Benin experienced a runway incursion after landing today. We confirm that all passengers and crew have safely disembarked and there were no injuries or casualties. The aircraft has been secured and the relevant aviation authorities have been notified in line with established procedures. An assessment of the aircraft and the circumstances surrounding the occurrence is currently underway.
