Chelsea on Sunday thrashed favourites Paris Saint-Germain 3-0 to claim the FIFA Club World Cup title.

Enzo Maresca’s side secured the victory after a first-half brace from Cole Palmer and a beautiful chip from new striker, Joao Pedro, assisted by the irrepressible Palmer.

The Blues maintained their lead in the second half, with goalkeeper Robert Sanchez making crucial saves to preserve a clean sheet.

PSG’s frustrations boiled over late in the game when João Neves was sent off for pulling Marc Cucurella’s hair, reducing the French side to ten men.

Despite their star-studded lineup and a remarkable season that included their first UEFA Champions League title, PSG struggled to break through Chelsea’s well-organised defence and midfield.
