Julius Berger Nigeria Plc has won the Construction Sector Reputation and Influence Award at the 2026 Nigeria Digital PR Summit Awards in Lagos.

The award was presented at the gala held last weekend in recognition of the company’s media visibility, brand influence, public image and reputation management in Nigeria’s construction and infrastructure sector.

Chief Executive of the Nigeria Digital PR Summit, Segun McMedal, said Julius Berger stood out for its consistent media presence and ability to maintain a positive corporate image over the years.

He said the award, presented by the summit’s advisory board, management and selection committee, recognised the company’s commitment to effective communication and engagement with stakeholders.

McMedal described Julius Berger as a benchmark for reputation management in Nigeria’s construction industry.

Receiving the award on behalf of the company’s Director of Administration, Dr Abdulaziz Kaita, Human Resources Manager, Chisom Albert, thanked the organisers and said the recognition would encourage the company to maintain high standards.

Albert said the award showed that the company’s efforts to engage stakeholders and build meaningful media relationships were being recognised.

He added that such recognition would inspire the company to improve its performance and strengthen its organisational values and workplace culture.

Media communication consultant, Yemi Badejo-Okusanya, also congratulated Julius Berger, describing the award as well deserved.

He said the company had combined established engineering principles with modern methods and innovations to deliver major building, infrastructure and industrial projects across Nigeria.

According to him, Julius Berger’s extensive resources, technical expertise and years of experience have enabled it to execute complex projects, including those in remote locations and difficult environmental conditions.

He added that the company’s capacity to handle different stages of projects, from planning and design to construction, maintenance and operation, had contributed to its reputation in the industry.

Badejo-Okusanya also commended the company’s media relations team for sustaining its strong public profile, saying the award reflected the work behind the scenes to maintain a positive corporate image.

Similarly, the Registrar and Secretary to Council of the National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria, Thelma Okoh, congratulated the company and urged its communications team to build on the achievement and aim for greater success in 2027.

The 2026 Nigeria Digital PR Summit, themed Art of Influence, brought together public relations practitioners, marketers, media professionals, content creators and corporate leaders to discuss trends and best practices in digital communication.

The event featured cultural performances and networking sessions.

Julius Berger was represented by Albert; Senior Quantity Surveyor, Nneka Anyanwu; Manager, Media Relations, Osedebamen Isibor; and Assistant Media Relations Officer, Jeffrey Ibeh.
