The residents of Orakwe street in Awka Road Onitsha, Anambra State took to the street in jubilation following the installation of solar-powered streetlights in the area by the senator representing Anambra North senatorial district, Stella Adaeze Oduah.
The senator who had rehabilitated the roads and also installs streetlights across the streets with other empowerments and pieces of training show that she is in tune with the yearnings of the constituents.
A resident of Orakwe street, Mr Chima Okocha, who was impressed with the achievement of senator Oduah said that the area had not had streetlights for the past 40 years of its existence, saying that the resident of the area will not forget in a hurry the good deed of Oduah to the area.
Okocha with smiles radiating from his face testify to the wonders being done on the streets and he also rained praises on Senator Oduah for her unending infrastructural development in Anambra North.
“This is a huge welcome development to the indigents of Orakwe streets and other parts as this new development will leave an indelible mark in the life of the residents there as such will make a smooth run of activities and the illumination will help in terms of security of lives and property.
“It is indeed a thing of joy when a lonely dark community becomes bright due to the wonderful nature of the community leader, this is what the people of Anambra North are experiencing in the hands of Omueze global.
“It remains an unarguable general standpoint from the days immemorial anywhere in the world that human capital, as well as infrastructural development, is the bedrock and foundation for the development of the society.
“The installation of workable and illuminating street lights in the community of Orakwe street off Awka road Onitsha has brought nothing more than betterment in all ramifications, ranging from drivers and pedestrians safety in the usage of the road at night, night business, traders do business transactions in tranquillity and full illumination and also the reduction of the very high level of criminal activities of every sort that do occur in the area” Okocha stated.
According to another resident of the area Mr Ogechi Oneyabo “Senator Oduah is indeed a beacon of hope to the average Nigerian, a first-class Senator who stands shoulder high.
“Undoubtedly, Senator Stella Oduah has delivered quality representation to constituents of Anambra North. The list is indeed endless.
“Moreover, it’s generally said that “one good turn deserves another”. It is now our responsibility/turn to send Senator Oduah back to the Red Chambers with our PVCs. This is because Senator Adaeze Oduah has done well and has continued to change the narratives.
“There were shouts of joy in Orakwe street, Onitsha as Senator Oduah lays asphalt on their road and installs solar-powered streetlights.
“The once “desolate” Orakwe street now bask in beauty, especially at night. Vehicles now ply this route to link with different parts of the city. Residents now walk freely at night without the fear of the unknown. Most importantly, economic activities have been restored in the once buoyant economic hub,” Onyeabo said.
