Jubet hits Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Chart

Fast-rising Nigerian singer, Jubet has recorded a major career milestone as his breakout single, Hardest Truth, debuted on the Billboard U.S. Afrobeats Songs Chart.

The achievement comes amid the song’s growing popularity on streaming platforms and social media, where it continues to attract listeners within and outside Africa.

Hardest Truth has generated more than two million streams on Spotify, over 3.8 million streams on Audiomack, more than 1.5 million streams each on Apple Music and Boomplay, and over 1.2 million YouTube audio views. The song has also been recorded more than 586,000 Times globally and has generated over 2.2 million TikTok videos.

On Shazam, the record reached No. 2 on the Global Chart, where it spent two consecutive weeks, before moving to No. 7 on the worldwide rankings. It also peaked at No. 2 in Nigeria and reached No. 1 in Ghana, Kenya, Uganda and Zambia.

Beyond its Billboard debut, the song has entered the Spotify Nigeria Top 100 and recorded chart activity across multiple territories.

According to available chart data, Hardest Truth has gained traction in more than 20 countries, including Nigeria, Ghana, Uganda, Kenya, Zambia, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Côte d’Ivoire, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, Antigua and Barbuda, Dominica, Barbados and Saint Lucia.

Born Akanbi Oluwa Jubelo Emmanuel, Jubet has built a growing audience through songs centred on personal experiences, relationships and emotional storytelling.

Industry observers attribute part of the song’s success to its widespread adoption on TikTok and other social media platforms, where users have incorporated it into videos reflecting heartbreak, personal reflection and everyday life experiences.

Entertainment executive, Louiza Williams manages the singer through Loui-K Empire. Under her management, the artist has continued to expand his reach across digital platforms and international markets.
