There was joy among the residents of Ajeromi Ifelodun Local Government Area, Lagos State over the weekend when the Federal House of Representatives PDP candidate in the last general election, Chief Francis Bartholomew Chima, popularly called ‘Omo Barca’, extended his philanthropic gestures by sharing cash and food items to about 3000 (three thousand) people.

The exercise, which was organized by LEGIT Foundation, his charity organization, was part of his palliative measures to cushion the effects of the present economic hardship and hunger on the people.

Speaking during the exercise, Chima said having seen what the people are passing through presently, he decided to come up with such intervention.

He noted that this is the right time to support this in need, as hunger is ravaging the land.

Chima said there is need to assist those in government, since they cannot do everything for the people.
