Joshua shuns Wilder, Fury fight

Anthony Joshua will reportedly not be ring side for Deontay Wilder’s title defence against Tyson Fury next week.

The IBF, WBO and WBA(Super) champion is aiming to unify the heavy weight division in 2019 and recently confirmed that was his sole goal in the next 12 months.

Joshua was considering attending the Los Angeles fight night, but will now not be ringside due to sponsor commitments, the DailyMail claim.Fury and WBC champion Wilder have repeatedly called for a fight with Joshua, but neither have been able to come to an agreement with AJ.

Wilder saw talks with Match room boss Eddie Hearn break down in the summer and has now insisted he would not accept any fight purse split than 50-50.Joshua is booked to fight at 13 April, but is unlikely to fight either Wilder or Fury. Dillian Whyte is the most likely fighter to step in with Joshua at Wembley, providing the Brit overcomes Dereck Chisora in their grudge match next month
