Jos Electricity Distribution Plc (JED) has announced plans to launch its Feeders Management System and Bilateral Arrangements starting November 1, 2024, aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of energy distribution to customers.

According to a press release signed by the company’s Head of Corporate Communications, Dr. Friday Adakole Elijah, the new initiative is designed to provide customers with consistent and reliable electricity based on their service bands, with the goal of enhancing customer satisfaction.

Under the scheme, 76 feeders classified under Band A have been selected, with assurances of uninterrupted power supply as per the Band A schedule. Customers on these feeders are expected to pay for 100% of their consumed energy.

To ensure the programme’s success, JED has formed a seven-member team for each feeder. The team will include a network engineer, a marketer, and others responsible for ensuring seamless energy delivery and managing post-paid billing. They will also promote collaboration and teamwork to meet customer satisfaction goals.

As the company commits to delivering 100% of the promised energy supply, it expects customers to fulfil their obligation by paying their energy bills in full each month. Partial payments will no longer be accepted.

Only customers who have settled their bills will continue receiving electricity, as the system will disconnect defaulters from the supply.

Customers are encouraged to embrace the new system to enjoy improved services.
