No fewer than 100 female students spread across 11 different locations in the country have been engaged by Agribusiness giant, Johnvents Group in different areas of training.
The engagement was part of activities put in place by the agro allied conglomerate to commemorate this year’s International Women’s Day.
The students who were drawn from different locations across the country were trained in diverse agro business strategies with specific interest in strategic investment in future..
This is even as the company trained over 103 female secondary school students on manufacturing, science, engineering and technology.
The students who were drawn from various secondary schools were encouraged to develop interest in science, agriculture and technology as they advance in their studies.

The student engagement component was hosted at four of the Group’s manufacturing and production facilities in Ondo State which included Johnvents Industries in Akure, Johnvents Foods in Idanre, Premium Cocoa Products in Ile-Oluji, and Noble Eagle Industries Limited in Owo.
Speaking on the initiative, the Managing Director of Johnvents Industries Limited, Caroline Omotoso said “we believe that exposure is one of the most powerful investments an organisation can make in the next generation. When a young girl walks through a factory floor and sees what is possible, something changes in her.”
She stated further that the company decided to invest in young individuals through trainings, seminars and workshops.
Speaking on the theme of the programme “Gain to Give” Omotoso stressed the need for exposure, mentorship and training for young individuals.
She also revealed the company’s intention to expand the school engagement component of the programme in subsequent years.
