Multistream, the umbrella body of Jinja products, has finalised plans with distributors and agents to host an empowerment summit on January 11 in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
Wasiu Adeshina, Executive Chairman of Ikorodu Local Government and Chief Host of the event, revealed that at least 100 individuals would be empowered during the summit. He emphasized that the initiative aims to improve the lives of Nigerians amid the current economic challenges.
He said: “This empowerment summit is a deliberate effort to provide a better future for Nigerians in these difficult times,” Hon. Adeshina said. “The Jinja Herbal Extract empowerment will offer beneficiaries a solid foundation as they enter the New Year 2025.”
All preparations for the summit are complete, with a committee overseeing the selection of the 100 beneficiaries. The event will take place at O’Clean Events Place in Ikorodu on Saturday, January 11. Hon. Alex Obanla, Liaison Officer to the Ogun State Government on Local Government Matters, will serve as the Guest Speaker, and Hon. Morenike Osokoya, Supervisor for Health, Ikorodu West LCDA, will be the Special Guest.
Biyi Otegbeye, Chairman of the Summit, highlighted the financial empowerment aspect of the event, stating, “We will provide the Jinja products to beneficiaries, and after they sell them and make a profit, they will be registered and supported with resources from local government chairmen to ensure the initiative’s success.”
