Vocalist and multidisciplinary creative artist Jeremiah Abiola Fasipe has been named Best Vocal Performance at the 2026 Eko Heritage Awards.
The award was presented on Saturday, July 25th, during the gala night held at the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island. This was the 6th edition of the awards.
Hosted by media personality Lexie Armani, the Eko Heritage Awards spotlight excellence across media, business, and entertainment, and honor individuals shaping Nigeria’s cultural identity.
Jeremiah’s nomination recognizes his exceptional talent as a vocalist and performer, and his commitment to using music for cultural expression and social impact.
Based in Sheffield, United Kingdom, Jeremiah is a Nigerian-born creative whose work spans music, broadcasting, fashion design, visual arts, and event production. He is also a community leader known for initiatives that promote creativity, diversity, and youth development.

His leadership extends beyond music. He served as Students’ Union President at Sheffield Hallam University, where his dedication to supporting others earned him the prestigious Inspirational Award.
Jeremiah is currently building his broadcasting career as the presenter of a French-language programme on African Voices Platform Radio, where he shares African music, culture, sports, and current affairs while promoting language learning and intercultural dialogue.
He is also the Founder and President of the Jeremiah Abiola Health and Community Development Foundation, a Nigerian charitable organisation focused on empowering young people through vocational skills training and community initiatives.
Academically, Jeremiah holds a Bachelor’s degree in French Language from the University of Lagos, Nigeria and a Master’s degree in Public Relations from Sheffield Hallam University, UK.
