Delists 20 CBT centres for technical challenges

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of the 2026 mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results.

The mock UTME was conducted last Saturday across 989 Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres nationwide, with the main objective of acquainting candidates with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) system of examination and preparing them for the main examination scheduled for April.

JAMB said that a total of 224,597 candidates registered for the mock examination, out of which 152,586 candidates successfully sat for the test.

It has repeatedly stated that scores from the mock UTME are not added to candidates’ scores in the main UTME, scheduled to commence on Thursday, April 16, 2026.

JAMB spokesman Dr Fabian Benjamin, in a statement on Tuesday, asked candidates to check their results by sending MOCKRESULT via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number (SIM) used during registration for the 2026 UTME.

He strongly advised candidates to beware of fraudulent individuals or groups, particularly on WhatsApp, claiming to facilitate score inflation, stressing that such claims are false and criminal.

“Any candidate found to have engaged in such activities will have their registration cancelled. Where such infractions are discovered after the examination, results may be withheld or withdrawn,” he said.

Meanwhile, JAMB disclosed that over 20 CBT centres that experienced technical challenges have been delisted due to technical inadequacies.
