As the world marks International Youth Day, wife of the Anambra State Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo, has described youths as the real change makers shaping the world positively.
Nonye Soludo, in a statement issued, yesterday, in Awka, as part of activities commemorating the International Youth Day, marked globally by the United Nations on August 12, urged youths across the country to believe in themselves and keep learning.
The governor’s wife, who is the founder of the non-governmental organisation, Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo, said young people should never underestimate the difference they can make, emphasising that their ideas, energy, and courage are needed to build the future society truly desires.
She said, “Young people are not merely the leaders of tomorrow; they are the real change makers, innovators, entrepreneurs, creators, and problem-solvers shaping our world today.

“As we celebrate International Youth Day, let’s continue to create spaces where our young people can learn, build, lead, and thrive. Every young person deserves the opportunity to discover their potential and turn their dreams into meaningful impact. The world owes them that.

She raised awareness of the challenges and opportunities facing young people around the world and celebrated their role as essential partners in achieving sustainable development.
International Youth Day is an awareness day designated by the United Nations and observed annually on August 12. Its purpose is to draw attention to a given set of cultural and legal issues surrounding young people.
