The Interim National Working Committee INWC of the Labour Party (LP) has advocated for women’s inclusiveness in governance.
Senator Nenadi Usman on the occasion of the 2026 edition of International Women’s Day, stated that the country should as a matter of urgency balance representation in decision-making in Nigeria and other parts of Africa.
She stated, “I extend my warmest wishes to women across the world, especially our resilient and hardworking Nigerian women.
“As a longstanding advocate for the rights and advancement of women, I use this occasion to once again call for stronger legislative and policy measures that will deepen women’s inclusion in governance and decision-making.
“This was a cause I pursued with great passion and commitment during my time in the Nigerian Senate.
Decision-making reaches its full potential when the voices, talents, and leadership of women are fully represented and respected in every sphere of women’s national life”, he stated.
